What To Do Instead Of Throwing That Pity Party

What To Do Instead Of Throwing That Pity Party

Some weeks are harder than others. This week was one of them. But whenever I’m faced with difficult times and want to bury myself under the covers and not come out until the storms calm down, I try to focus outward and make other people’s days a little brighter. Self-indulgence and pity parties are easy. So is inviting self-doubt and worthlessness in to cause more chaos, but we have the power to choose something better for ourselves!

One way I enjoy focusing <<outward>>  is through “snail mail.” As you may have read in one of my recent posts: words are my soul’s sustenance. They are how I process the world around me, how I express my affection, and how I feel loved.

To me, words are sincere. I don’t say things that I don’t believe, and I have trouble not believing other people’s words as well. Words are full of powerful truth when they are spoken by the people we have come to know, love, and respect.

So, from now until the end of the year, I want us to band together and shower each other in mushy, sappy (but sincere) affirmation letters!

I created a FREE printable to use as a “guide” for writing letters of truth. There are no rules to join us! No requirement of 1 letter/day or anything like that. Write when that special someone comes to mind, when the words seem to flow, or when you see someone in need of some love and light!

Come back and share with us how spreading words of affirmation has positively impacted your life!
