Welcome! I’m Amanda Foust, a professional writer and certified life coach. I’m so glad you’re here! At Downs Ups & Teacups, I combine my writing and coaching professions — cultivating self-discovery through the use of storytelling. Relationships, collaboration, and the sharing of stories are life-giving. The tears cried, bubbling laughter, and genuine connection that occurs around the teacup is treasured. Life isn’t always glamorous, so it’s important to talk about the hard things–the downs– alongside the celebrations–the ups.

Downs, Ups, & Teacups is a creative place to empower and encourage. Please engage and participate on this page! My hope is for this to be a community where we grow together and a place that provides a positive environment to come and stay awhile. You are welcome here!

  • I love that you’re committed to talking about reality! It’s one of the hardest things to talk about but is SO important to discuss. Subscribing to the newsletter so that I can stay up to date. 🙂

  • It is difficult to share our hearts, our vulnerability…but it a good necessity. My heart in fighting cancer that has metastasized to my lungs. I know the Lord goes before me and I am not alone. His will is perfect. I do pray for healing mercy but I also know that my reality possibly is that I’m made whole when I come face to face with Him…This is my belief..I know not all believe as I do….Having a positive outlook is the best. My sister was taken aback when I sent her a candle for her birthday. I told her I wanted her to have something from me in case I wasn’t around in the future. She said she understood but she wants me to be positive. I can be positive but also realistic. I am giving my one year old granddaughter a recordable book for her birthday. She will have my recorded voice if I’m not hear in the future. It is what it is. God is good no matter what happens. I have rambled…sorry…I hope you have many blessings.

  • My story now is that I am a cancer warrior. But through this God uses me to be a light for Him. I take one day at a time (most days 😊) and I know He goes before me. All I want is for others to see Him…
